Compression Springs
Custom compression springs,
wound in Thailand.
Helical compression springs made to your drawing in Rayong, Thailand — from 0.08 mm wire for compact precision parts to 8.0 mm coils for heavier loads. New equipment will extend the range to 12.0 mm.

Coiled to deliver the load your design calls for
A compression spring is a small part with a large influence on how a product seals, latches, returns or absorbs shock. We wind to the free length, rate and installed load on your drawing, then check the finished part against those numbers.
The Rayong plant runs 97 production machines and 76 test and laboratory machines, with heat treatment in-house. Wire is checked for tensile strength and metallographic structure before production; finished springs are measured and load-tested before packing.
- Wire diameters from 0.08 mm to 8.0 mm in current production
- Closed, closed-and-ground and open end forms
- Carbon spring steel and stainless steel grades
- Prototype, pre-production and volume orders
Where compression springs do the work
Compression springs absorb or return axial load in assemblies that are actuated, latched, sealed or supported. The drawing and operating environment decide the wire grade, end form and finish.
Compression spring specifications
Current production is shown below. If your part falls outside these parameters, we review it at RFQ rather than assume the answer.
| Parameter | Capability |
|---|---|
| Wire diameter | 0.08–8.0 mm in current production. Planned expansion to 12.0 mm as new equipment is installed. |
| Materials | 65Mn, 72A, 82B, 60Si2Mn; stainless steel 301, 302, 304 and 316. Other grades reviewed on request. |
| End forms | Closed, closed and ground, open. |
| Heat treatment | In-house stress relief and tempering. |
| Surface finish | Anti-rust oil, electrophoresis (E-coat), zinc plating, nickel plating, spray coating. |
| Wire tolerance | JIS wire tolerance by grade (JIS G 3521, JIS G 3522 or JIS G 4309). ASTM wire specification and SMI commercial tolerances available for US programs. |
| Load testing | Load at installed height, free length or solid height, as specified on the drawing. |
| Dimensional inspection | 2.5D vision measurement and dimensional checks against the drawing. |
| Quality system | ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. |
| Samples | Prototype and pre-production samples against drawing. |
Wire diameter is inspected to the JIS tolerance of the ordered wire grade. For US programs, we can quote and inspect to the relevant ASTM wire specification and SMI commercial tolerances.
Materials and finishes
The wire grade and finish should follow the load, fatigue and corrosion exposure of the application — not a default.
65Mn · 72A · 82B · 60Si2Mn
Selected for strength, elasticity and fatigue performance according to the load cycle and cost target of the part.
301 · 302 · 304 · 316
Used where the spring sees moisture, cleaning or a corrosive environment, subject to the wire diameter and load requirement.
Oil · E-coat · zinc · nickel · spray
Anti-rust oil, electrophoresis, zinc plating, nickel plating and spray coating are available. The finish is chosen for the environment the spring sees.
Checked against the drawing, not a sample photo
Load, dimensions and material condition are measured in-house before shipment. The inspection and test plan is agreed at RFQ.
- Raw material tensile strength and metallographic structure
- Load and compression testing on automatic spring testers
- 2.5D vision measurement of spring dimensions
- Salt spray testing for plated and coated parts
- Fatigue testing for cycle-life validation
- Inspection records agreed at RFQ

What to send with your drawing
A complete drawing shortens the quote and removes assumptions.
- Wire diameter and material grade
- Free length and outside diameter
- Load at installed height, or spring rate
- End form and orientation
- Surface finish and operating environment
- Annual quantity and delivery schedule

Compression spring questions
What wire diameter range can you produce?
Our current production range is 0.08–8.0 mm. We are adding equipment to extend the range to 12.0 mm; availability for a specific part is confirmed at RFQ.
Which materials do you use for compression springs?
65Mn, 72A, 82B and 60Si2Mn carbon spring steels, plus stainless steel 301, 302, 304 and 316. Other grades can be reviewed against the drawing.
How do you verify load and dimensions?
We measure the finished spring against the drawing with a 2.5D vision system and test load on an automatic spring tester. Raw material is checked for tensile strength and metallographic structure.
Can you supply samples before production?
Yes. We produce prototype and pre-production samples against the drawing, then validate the part before volume production.
