Dispensing application
Springs for pump heads
and dispensing.
Two or three springs per pump head, each part weighed in milligrams, volumes counted in millions. The difficulty is not one spring — it is making the millionth spring behave like the first.

One spring decides how the pump feels
A pump head is a product where the spring is invisible but everywhere: the force needed to press, the speed of the return, the evenness of the dose — all of it comes from two or three small springs.
The barrier in this industry is not single-part difficulty. It is consistency across millions of pieces: a drift in wire diameter tolerance, coil count or end treatment shows up immediately on the filling line.
- Personal care, household care, cosmetic and aerosol pump heads
- Return springs, valve springs, actuator springs and spring strips
- Wire from 0.08 mm upward, with milligram-level parts in volume
- Stainless steel as standard where the part touches the product
- Dedicated pump and valve spring workshop in Rayong
Drawing or sample, volume, assembly method
Pump-head projects move quickly once the assembly method is clear. The spring is designed around how it is seated and how the product is filled.
- Drawing or current sample
- Monthly and annual usage
- Assembly method and orientation
- Media the spring contacts, and the cleaning or filling process
Three parts, three jobs
Return spring
The main actor in the press and return. The force window is narrow and the return has to be crisp, with no hesitation on the way up. Wire is typically a fraction of a millimetre and the ends are ground flat.
Valve spring
Controls delivery and prevents backflow. The requirement is a clean seal and no loss of function after long contact with the product. SUS304 or SUS316L is usual.
Actuator spring or strip
Sets the travel limit and the feel of the stroke. It can be a compression spring or a stamped strip, depending on the mechanism.
Stainless by default
SUS304 and SUS316L dominate. Where the spring contacts cosmetics, cleaners or alcohol-based products, corrosion resistance and media compatibility come before piece price.
Tested to your method
Cycle and salt spray testing follow your test method, with reports available by lot. We do not give an unqualified “guaranteed for X cycles” figure without a test condition.
Consistency at million-piece scale
Parameters are fixed by part number, finished parts are sampled by lot for load and free length, and the lot number links back to material and machine records.
Pump and valve springs: a dedicated workshop in each plant
The Rayong plant runs a dedicated pump and valve spring workshop. Standard and very large volumes are made in Thailand; the group plant in Zhaoqing has a separate dispensing pump and valve spring line as capacity backup. The numbers are kept apart because the question you are answering is “who makes this batch”.
| Item | Number / scope | Entity |
|---|---|---|
| Dedicated workshop | Pump and valve spring workshop, standard to very large volume | AOFENG SPRING (THAILAND), Rayong |
| Dedicated line | Dispensing pump and valve spring line | Guangdong Aojin Precision Technology, Zhaoqing |
| Equipment | 300 machines on the pump and valve line | Guangdong Aojin Precision Technology, Zhaoqing |
| Annual output | 3.5 billion pieces, as capacity backup | Guangdong Aojin Precision Technology, Zhaoqing |
| Company standard | Pump-head spring standard published in 2020 | Guangdong Aojin Precision Technology, Zhaoqing |
Volume that is scheduled in Rayong is stated as Rayong on the quotation. If a batch is made by the group plant, the origin and lead time are confirmed separately before the order is accepted.
Why local beats a container of stock
Pump springs are cheap, used in huge numbers and reordered often — which looks like the perfect candidate for sea freight. In practice, replenishment rhythm is where it breaks: order months of stock and cash sits on the shelf; order too little and the next vessel is too late.
The dedicated workshop in Rayong takes standard volume and very large volume locally. The point is not to replace the group plant; it is to keep the fast-moving part numbers close to your filling line, with Zhaoqing covering peak demand or a sudden increase.
- Standard part numbers — material held and replenished monthly, reducing one-off stock builds
- Special part numbers — scheduled to drawing after sample approval
- Large volume — run in Rayong, including very large batches; equipment added when the order is stable
- Backup — the Zhaoqing line covers peak or sudden demand, with origin and lead time confirmed
- Changes — material or process changes are notified in advance, never slipped in

What we will and will not promise
- Can do — return, valve and actuator springs and strips, from standard volume to very large volume, with heat treatment, finishing and inspection in Rayong.
- Can do — the group’s 3.5 billion-piece line as capacity backup for peak or special part numbers.
- Will not do — quote a cycle life without your test condition, or claim corrosion resistance without the medium and the test method.
Capacity follows your ramp
A pump-head project runs continuously once it starts. Rayong has a dedicated workshop, adds equipment when the order is stable, and the group’s 3.5 billion-piece line sits behind it as backup. Capacity is planned against your ramp, not against a catalogue quantity.

Pump and dispensing spring questions
How small can you wind a pump spring?
Current production starts at 0.08 mm wire. Parts at the smaller end of that range are run in the dedicated pump and valve workshop with load and free-length sampling by lot.
Can you supply millions of pieces a year?
Yes. Standard and very large volumes run in Rayong; the group’s Zhaoqing line, at 3.5 billion pieces a year, is the backup for peak or sudden demand.
Which stainless grade should we specify?
SUS304 covers most products. SUS316L is specified where the medium is more aggressive or the customer’s own standard requires it. The final choice follows the product and the cleaning process.
Do you test cycle life and salt spray?
Yes, to the method and acceptance criterion agreed at RFQ. Reports are available by lot. We do not quote an unqualified life figure without a defined test condition.
Can you hold stock for monthly replenishment?
Common materials are held, and finished-goods stocking is agreed per program based on usage and replenishment frequency.
What happens if volume suddenly doubles?
Rayong adds equipment when the order is stable. If the increase is faster than the local ramp, the Zhaoqing line covers it, with origin and lead time confirmed before the order is accepted.
Send the part number and the monthly volume
A drawing or sample plus the monthly quantity is enough to price it. We will confirm the workshop, the material and the inspection plan before quoting.
