Medical application
Small springs for endoscopes,
staplers and instruments.
Fine wire, small parts, high cleanliness requirements. Batch traceability and advance notice of change — because what a medical customer fears most in a new supplier is a process being quietly altered.

The hard part is not making it once
Half the difficulty in medical precision springs is the process. The other half is that nothing may change: the same part number in the first batch and the five-hundredth has to be the same part. And if it does change, you hear about it first.
We serve the precision instrument and surgical instrument line. We do not run diagnostic reagents or consumables with very little spring content — stating the limits clearly is more useful than lengthening a customer list.
- Who we serve — endoscope and minimally invasive instrument makers, surgical instrument makers, medical equipment structural component makers
- Parts we run — extension, compression and torsion springs, guide wire spring tubes, return springs
- What to send — drawing, batch quantity, cleanliness and packaging requirements, whether change notification is required
Drawing, cleanliness, packaging, change control
In this industry the paperwork question comes before the price question. If the drawing and the documentation requirements are clear, the quotation is straightforward.
- Drawing with material and inspection standard
- Batch and annual quantity
- Cleanliness level and packaging method
- Whether material and process records are required per batch
Five areas, ordered by difficulty
Endoscopy and minimally invasive
Biopsy forceps extension springs, snares, guide wire spring tubes, articulation joints. The most process-demanding class on the site: fine wire, small parts, complex geometry — scrap rate matters more than unit price.
Surgical instruments
Staplers, clip appliers, scissor return springs. The constraints are consistent assembly force and no failure over a long service life; batch traceability is normally required.
Equipment
Conventional compression and torsion springs inside pumps, valves and locking mechanisms. Requirements are more standard; consistency and documentation are the focus.
Cleanliness and packaging
Oil-free, particle-free, individually packed. We describe exactly how — what cleaning process, what protection, what packaging — rather than writing “meets requirements” and leaving it there.
Traceability and change control
The lot links to the wire heat number and the process record. Any change to material, process or equipment is notified in advance and re-confirmed before it is implemented.
One standard across both plants
Rayong and the group plant share the same forming and inspection system, so one drawing and one inspection standard can cover a part that moves between them.
What we hold, and what we do not
This industry punishes vagueness. The table below states the actual scope of the Thai entity’s systems — writing it clearly makes the conversation easier, not harder.
| System / capability | Status | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| ISO 9001:2015 | Held by the Thai entity | Quality management, scope covering spring and metal wire component manufacturing |
| ISO 14001:2015 | Held by the Thai entity | Environmental management |
| ISO 13485 | Not held | A medical device manufacturer’s system. We do not claim it or imply it. Customer audits are conducted on the actual scope |
| Cleanroom and ultra-fine wire lines | Group plant, Guangdong Aojin (Zhaoqing) | Minimally invasive instrument and medical guide wire fine-wire work is handled by the group |
If your supplier qualification requires ISO 13485 at the spring supplier, we are not that supplier today, and saying so here saves both sides an audit.
Where the ultra-fine wire work goes
Some parts the Rayong plant cannot make — a guide wire spring tube needing a cleanroom and ultra-fine wire equipment, for example. We do not take those on anyway; they transfer to the group plant in Zhaoqing and are delivered from there.
So there are two ways of working: conventional precision parts made locally in Rayong, and ultra-fine wire or cleanroom work made in China. The origin is written on the quotation.
- Made in Rayong — conventional precision parts: extension, compression and torsion springs at standard wire diameters, no cleanroom required
- Made by Guangdong Aojin — ultra-fine wire down to 0.02 mm, medical guide wire and cleanroom processes
- Documents — material certificates, process records and change notification, as required by the customer

Volume in Rayong, group as backup
- AOFENG SPRING (THAILAND), Rayong — forming, heat treatment, cleaning and inspection of conventional precision parts, delivered locally. Stable volume supply runs here; equipment is added as the order grows.
- Guangdong Aojin Precision Technology, Zhaoqing — ultra-fine wire and cleanroom processes, as capacity backup; 60+ patents and 100+ test and inspection machines.
- Common ground — both plants work from the same forming and inspection system, so the drawing and inspection standard can be shared.
An audit will ask who made each step
A medical project audit asks who performed each operation. Volume is made in Rayong under the same standard as the group; only ultra-fine wire work transfers. Putting that on the page is easier than explaining it during an audit.

Medical spring questions
Are you ISO 13485 certified?
No. The Rayong plant holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. ISO 13485 is a medical device manufacturer’s system, and we neither claim nor imply it. We state this so a supplier qualification decision is not made on an assumption.
Can you make parts requiring a cleanroom?
Not in Rayong. Cleanroom and ultra-fine wire work is handled by the group plant in Zhaoqing, and the origin is stated on the quotation. Conventional precision parts are made and cleaned in Rayong.
How fine a wire can you run?
Rayong runs conventional precision wire sizes. The group plant handles ultra-fine wire down to 0.02 mm. Send the drawing and we will tell you which plant it belongs in.
What does “cleanliness” actually mean in practice?
A defined cleaning process, oil-free handling and protection, and packaging agreed with you — written into the process sheet rather than summarised as “meets requirements”.
How is change control handled?
Any change to material, process or equipment is notified in advance and re-confirmed before implementation. Nothing is substituted silently, including a change of wire supplier.
Do you supply guide wire spring tubes?
Those are made by the group plant, which has the ultra-fine wire capability and cleanroom. We handle the enquiry and the specification, and the origin is stated clearly on the quotation.
Send the drawing and the documentation requirement
Drawing, batch quantity, cleanliness level and any change-notification requirement are enough to start. We will confirm which plant the part belongs in before quoting.
